Hi! I can’t
wait to start a summer full of lots of avid reading! Some people would rather be doing
other things, but personally, I like to enter into a whole new world through a
really good book. I’m hoping to read some very exciting stories. Some of these
are Miss Spitfire: Reaching Helen Keller, and Inkheart.
Reading books is extremely important, though we don't always realize why. If you don't read, you gradually lose intelligence and become a less-skilled reader. They help your creativity to flourish through a different variety of books. Reading allows you to gain knowledge that you might not have gotten otherwise. The books provide valuable info such as in new vocabulary. Did you know that reading even exercises your brain? It's good for you!
You can always tell that I'm reading a fabulous book when...
1. I sleep in for a LONG time because I just had to finish a book last night.
2. My mom bakes a delicious dessert, and I tell her not to bother me without even thinking about it.
3. I get invited to a pool party, but I bring a book along to read in the sun instead of swimming (which I ♥).
I just can't wait for school to be out and summer to come. After all, there are a lot of books out there just waiting to be read. Hopefully, you'll be inspired to read some of them through my blog. Bye! ☺
Ooooh. Skipping a delicious dessert means serious reading business!! Didn't know if you were aware that Inkheart is a series. Miss Spitfire has been quite popular with my students, so I'm anxious to hear how you like that one, too. Happy reading, Laura!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I hope the books I read are really good!
